New Physician Announcement: Welcoming Dr. Emery Young Jr., DO”

Evoto

Hello! My name is Dr. Emery Young Jr., and I’m an osteopathic physician with a passion for whole-person, integrative care.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, where my roots run deep—my family owns a farm that has been in our family for generations. Some of my favorite memories come from the cookouts and family gatherings we’ve had there over the years.

Growing up, I was always drawn to athletics. That passion led me to earn a football scholarship to Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where I played running back. (Back in the day, I used to be pretty fast!) These days, I stay active through competitive powerlifting—I’ve completed three meets so far—and I truly enjoy pushing myself both mentally and physically.

Outside of medicine and fitness, I’m a big fan of all things Marvel, a longtime anime enthusiast, and an avid gamer—currently working my way through Elden Ring. I also have a deep love of travel and have had the opportunity to visit 12 countries so far.

I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my residency at the Cleveland Clinic. In addition to my medical training, I hold certification in integrative medicine. My approach to care emphasizes natural treatments when appropriate, and I take pride in using Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) to support the body’s self-healing and improve overall function.

Interestingly, my path to a career in medicine began later in life. It wasn’t until college that I seriously considered it, and my interest solidified during my graduate studies in physiology at Case Western Reserve University. My passion for family medicine was sparked by a personal family health scare, which opened my eyes to the life-changing importance of preventive care.

In my practice, I strive to combine evidence-based medicine with a holistic, patient-centered approach, supporting my patients in achieving better health naturally.

I’m honored to be a part of your care journey, and I look forward to serving you.
