Combatting Depression

At Sensenbrenner Primary Care, we are deeply concerned about the mental health of our patients and desire to care for all aspects of your wellbeing.

The Mayo Clinic reports that around 10-20% of Americans may experience some sort of seasonal “winter blues.” Additionally, around 5% may experience a more severe form of seasonal depression. The cold winter months coupled with the unprecedented emotional toll of Covid fatigue have led to a spike in mental illness, especially depression.

Depression can manifest in many different ways, but common signs include: loss of interest in daily activities, feeling hopeless, irritability, appetite changes, loss of energy, difficulty concentrating, etc.

Unfortunately, there is still a stigma present around mental illness. Many do not seek the help that they need because they feel embarrassed or ashamed. Please know that Sensenbrenner Primary Care is here for you. If you have been feeling depressed, you are not alone. We can help you and can discuss possible treatment options for you.
